Denpasar, Indonesia, August 7, 2025 – Primakara University served as the host venue and co-organizer of The 4th Broad Exposure Science and Technology (BEST) 2025 International Conference, jointly organized with the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa. The conference addressed pressing global challenges such as climate change, energy efficiency, and resource scarcity, highlighting the critical role of advanced materials in developing innovative and sustainable solutions.

BEST 2025 carried the theme “Innovative Materials for a Sustainable Future” and marked its fourth consecutive year of implementation. The conference brought together 74 participants from five countries, engaging both onsite and online audiences. According to Prof. Dr. Jayanudin, ST., M.Eng., Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Untirta, the conference emphasized emerging material innovations, particularly in the field of biomaterials, which are gaining increasing global attention. He was accompanied by Dr. Eng. Ir. Bobby Kurniawan, ST., MT., IPU, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Chair of BEST 2025.

The conference featured three distinguished keynote speakers: Prof. Takayuki Narushima from Tohoku University (Japan), presenting “Carbon- and Platinum-Modified Co-Cr Alloys for Thin-Strut Stents”; Prof. Yenny Meliana from Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional (Indonesia), discussing “Nanotechnology Roles in Cosmetics”; and Prof. Erwann Guenin from Université de Technologie de Compiègne (France), who delivered a presentation on “Functionalized Biobased Materials and Nanomaterials.”

This international conference served as a strategic platform for researchers, scientists, and industry leaders to exchange cutting-edge findings, explore emerging trends in materials science, and strengthen cross-institutional collaboration. The successful organization of BEST 2025 underscores Primakara University’s commitment to supporting international research collaboration and advancing science and technology for a sustainable future.
