[Japan] Keio University & Ethical Time.Co – Visiting Students and Industry Session Denpasar, October 28, 2024 – Primakara University recently welcomed a visit from Ayako Lily Murakami, a representative from Japanese industry leader Ethical Time.co, alongside three students from Japan’s renowned Keio University: Hinata, Kokoro, and Misato. This international collaboration brought insightful exchange and cultural engagement to Primakara’s campus, strengthening ties with Japanese academia and industry. Ayako Lily Murakami led a sharing session with Primakara students, sharing Ethical Time.co’s innovative approaches to sustainable business practices and ethical consumerism. This interactive session offered students a firsthand perspective on Japan’s corporate dedication to ethical production, underscoring the global importance of sustainability in today’s market. The Keio University students, Hinata, Kokoro, and Misato, participated in a Digital Tourism class at Primakara University, gaining insights into how digital transformation is reshaping the tourism industry in Indonesia and beyond. This class experience allowed the visiting students to exchange ideas with local students and explore the intersection of technology and tourism in a region celebrated for its rich cultural heritage. This visit, organized in collaboration with the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at Primakara, marks the beginning of a promising partnership with Keio University and Ethical Time.co. Plans are underway to expand this collaboration into future internship programs, student exchanges, and summer programs, offering more opportunities for students to gain international experience and practical skills in their fields of study.
