[South Korea] Organization of World Heritage Cities, Gyeongju – Culture Camp Gyeongju, August 21, 2024 – Two Primakara University students, Anselmus from the Information Systems program and Ema from the Informatics program, have successfully represented their university and Bali at the prestigious OWHC High Heritage Hand in Hand Camp held in Gyeongju, South Korea. This unique cultural event brought together young participants from across the globe to engage with Korean heritage, teamwork, and historical preservation.

On Day 2, participants ventured to Gyeongju Expo Grand Park where they collaborated on group missions designed to deepen their understanding of world heritage preservation through hands-on activities and cross-cultural teamwork. Later that day, they embarked on a field trip to Wolseong, an ancient site steeped in the history of the Silla Dynasty’s palace complex, offering an up-close experience with the landmarks that shaped Korea’s past.

The program continued into Day 3, where Anselmus and Ema, along with their international peers, presented their team projects developed throughout the camp. Each presentation highlighted innovative approaches to cultural preservation and showcased collaborative ideas that connected heritage conservation with community engagement.

Held from August 19 to 21, the OWHC High Heritage Hand in Hand Camp was a rewarding opportunity for Primakara students to gain global perspectives and engage in meaningful exchanges about world heritage. This experience reflects Primakara University’s commitment to fostering globally minded students, equipping them with the skills and perspectives needed to thrive in an interconnected world.
